Arthur is reunited with the wizard Merlin who explains to the "Once and Future King" the reasons for his return to the future: England and most of the world has been infected by a plague of the undead; Merlin believes it is Arthur's calling to reclaim his kingdom and cure the land. Although doubtful of his ability to do so, Arthur still agrees to meet with a group of survivors who Merlin assures will support their cause. Along the way, Arthur, Merlin, and Mr. Rice encounter a ruthless envoy of Marauders who have a strange connection to the zombies.
